Find Your New Best Friend

Every cat at Pet Haven has a story. Some arrived as strays, some were surrendered by families facing difficult circumstances, and some were born right here in our care. What they all have in common is that they're looking for a second chance, and a family to call their own.

Whether you're searching for a playful kitten, a laid-back companion, or a bonded pair, we're here to help you find the perfect match.

Adoptable Cats

All cats up for adoption have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and are current on their FVRCP (Distemper) and rabies vaccines.

Adoption Process

1. Visit the Shelter

Come meet our adoptable cats during open hours. No appointment is required.

Off-site adoptions happen at the Nampa PetSmart location.

Have questions first? Give us a call: (208) 466-1298

2. Find Your Match

Spend time getting to know the cats and talk with staff about personalities, history, and compatibility. While you are in our shelter you will be able to see our current adoptable cats in our Cattery. Please understand that we cannot guarantee availability of specific cats. We update our listings on our website as quickly as we can, but a change in a cat’s status may occur before your visit.

3. Complete Your Adoption

We'll have you fill out an adoption agreement, update health records, and finalize paperwork. Expect your visit to take at least one hour. Because they take time to complete, adoptions are cut off at 5:30pm Tuesday-Saturday. You may place holds on a cat at any time during openings hours.

4. Go Home Together

Welcome your new family member home!

  • Provide an emergency contact

Adoption Fees

Kittens up to 6 months: $95
6 months - 3 years: $85
3 years - 7 years: $70
7+ years: $55

Bring your own carrier for $5 off the adoption price.

Military discount: $5 off adoption price, and our thanks for your service!

Senior for Seniors: For adopters age 55 and up, cats 7+ years old are only $25.

Barn Cats: $25. Barn cats are working cats, excellent mousers that provide pest control for rural areas. Also, since they are spayed/neutered, they cannot reproduce with any cats that come onto your property, helping control the local stray cat population.
NOTE: The barn cat price does not apply to friendly cats in our cattery, even if they have mousing experience.

Placing Holds

If you need more time to think about your decision, you can place a 24-hour hold on a cat.

NOTE: Holds may only be placed in-person at the shelter. Off-site adoptions and foster cats cannot be put on hold.

Pet Haven reserves the right to decline an adoption for any reason.
